Reid Baird signs with Ottawa University in Arizona to play Football for the Spirit.  Reid started his football journey at the age of thirteen.  He started his high school football career and was called up to the varsity team at Arlington as a freshman.  His role models are his parents, “who have always helped him.”  The reason Reid felt football was the way to go with his athletic career was because as he stated himself, “I could hit people without getting in trouble.”  Reid’s most memorable high school moment was his junior year when he and his team came back after being down 14-0 at halftime to defeat Valley View on the road 17-14 to qualify for the playoffs.

Reid plans on achieving his degree in music education and sports studies at Ottawa.  Lastly, Reid would like to thank his parents, coaches, and all his teachers, “who helped me and pushed me to become the person I am today!”

We wish you well on your journey and into the future.  Who knows, maybe one day you will come back to Arlington and teach of us!  We know you will make us proud.  #lionpride #arlingtonlions
