Annaleslie has been the heart of the tennis program for three years. She began as a singles player and during her sophomore year she decided to embrace team and continue as a doubles player for the continuation of her high school tennis career. She was selected as Arlington’s Scholar Athlete of the Year and maintained an overall GPA of 4.2 while remaining in the top 20 of her class all 4 years. Her hard work and dedication paid off academically and athletically. She was a team Captain and received Scholar-athlete awards all 3 years . She was awarded with the “Most Improved” athlete because of her hard work and she also received “Coaches Award” for her commitment to excellence. Annaleslie wants to thank Coach Gomez who has been an incredible coach and mentor to her and believed in her when she didn’t believe in herself. She also thanks her parents who were a big support when she was on the team. Annaleslie is the only member of her family to have played a competitive sport in high school, “their support was very meaningful”. Her teammates were incredible and always uplifted her. “They ensured we had fun on the court”. She will be attending Cal State University San Bernardino in the fall and plans to major in Pre-Nursing. She is a great role model and someone we are truly proud to call an Arlington Lion. Once a lion always a lion. LION PRIDE!
