Wrestling team competes in “The Battle of the Belts” at Temecula Valley

The wrestling team competed in the Temecula Valley “Battle for the Belt” Wrestling Tournament this past weekend.  This tournament featured most of the top ranked wrestlers in California and neighboring states.  There were 66 teams competing.  Artie Carranza is ranked 22 in the state at 106 lbs just missed placing in the top 8.  He finished

The boys wrestling team had their first home league match on Tuesday vs. North High School.  North had two additional wrestlers in the lighter weight classes that forced a 12 point forfeit from the get go.  Before any wrestler had taken the mat the score was Arlington 0 – North 12.  Starting off in the

Riverside County Wrestling Tournament – Arlington places 7th with 4 top 8 individuals

On January 3rd and 4th Arlington hosted one of the largest Wrestling Tournaments known to Riverside, The Riverside County Wrestling Championships.  Teams come from all over the Inland Empire to compete in this annual tournament.  Arlington had 4 individual wrestlers place in the top 8.  Deshawn Mercadel walked away as the Champion for his weight class

Arlington Wrestling team competes in Raul Huerta Tournament

On December 19th the Wrestling team took on Poly.  The score was close the entire match until the end the lions had to forfeit certain weight classes which gave Poly the win 41-33.  They bounced back to compete in the Raul Huerta Tournament were Artie Carranza placed 2nd in his weight class of 113 and Deshawn

Wrestling placed in Top 25

The Wrestling team competed in the Citrus Hills Hawk Nest Tournament and placed in the top 25.  They will continue competing in the Ray Huerta Memorial Tournament this coming weekend.

Wrestling starts the season off at Tom Bravo Classic

The boys took to the mats in the first wrestling meet of the season where they competed in the Tom Bravo Memorial Tournament at Los Osos’s High School.  The team had a great showing placing in the top 12 and placed three team members with individual honors.  Artie Carranza took 2nd in his weight class
