Huge waves coming from the pool! Let’s hear it for Ellie Lowery for a great performance at the CIF Finals, where she took on the fastest swimmers in the section and powered her way to a 5th place finish in the Girls 50 Free! Touching the wall at a blazing 24.60, Ellie proved that every millisecond counts when you’re elite, earning her the well-deserved title of Athlete of the Week
Isaac showed ready to run at the CIF Prelims and broke the Arlington school record in the 800m! Watching that clock stop at a record-breaking time was nothing short of legendary. All those miles, all those morning sessions it all led to this moment! The record wasn’t enough, Isaac has also been named Athlete of the Week and qualified for the CIF Finals! From his steady pace on the final lap to his quick kick on the straightaway, he’s showing everyone exactly what it means to be a champion. The bar has been raised and the record books have been rewritten
Division 3 pairing came out and Arlington matched up with Mira Costa! CIF Round 1 will be played at Mira Costa high school on May 15 at 3:15pm
Moving on to CIF Finals - Isaac Ortiz and Andrew Mendoza! They will compete next weekend, May 16 at Moorpark.
